Men's 1st Team
The Men’s First Team represents the top level of competition within the UoELC, competing in the BUCS Southern Premier League against the other top universities in the country.
The 25-26 season was a hard-fought campaign, it started with the BUCS 6’s tournament, here they faced some of the best competition in the entire country, with Exeter Men’s lacrosse bringing two teams to the tournament for the first time.
In league fixtures, their campaign culminated in a landmark 12-11 win against Sussex in their varsity match, this turnaround from a 10-3 loss earlier in the season proved the progress the squad had made over the season, progress they’ll build on next season.
This momentum continued resulting in a strong performance in the SEMLA flags tournament at the end of the season topping Group C but missing out in the quarter finals.
Lead by Club Captain Ethan Weir and Coach James Stansbury, the squad looks to build on the progress of the 25-26 season firmly setting their sights on the BUCS southern premier league title for the upcoming season.
