Win 21-3
A wet and windy 31st of October greeted the Exeter women’s 1s as they arrived at Topsham for their match against Cardiff 1s. However this didn’t dampen the spirit of the women’s side as they warmed up in preparation. After a prior warning of the likelihood of a rather physical game, the ladies took to the pitch with determination and ruthlessness. With some great draw control, Exeter held the majority of the possession, this saw them take an early lead with an abundance of assisted goals. Some great saves and defence prevented Cardiff from closing the gap keeping their goal total to 3 as Exeter stormed ahead, reaching 21 at full time. It will be straight back into training for the ladies as their prepare to take on Bath next Wednesday on foreign territory.
